How to Make Rava Dosa at Home?

Ingredients:

  • My Amma’s Homemade Rava Dosa Mix – 1cup
  • Onion -1 finely chopped
  • Coriander Leaves – Finely chopped
  • Curry Leaves – Few
  • Grated Coconut  – 3-4 tbsp
  • Green chillies – 2-3 finely chopped
  • Salt
  • Water

 

Method:-

  • Mix 1 cup of Rava Dosa Mix and all the ingredients together to form a thin consistency batter.
  • Heat the Tava and pour out the batter (Rava dosa cannot be spread out the ladle).
  • Uncover and cook on both sides.
  • Rava Dosa  is crispy and wafer thin.
  • Enjoy it coconut chutney/ onion chutney / coriander chutney.

Recipe for Making Thalipeeth at Home

Ingredients:

  • My Amma’s Homemade Thalipeeth Mix – 1cup
  • Carrot –  1 Finely grated
  • Onion – 1 Finely Chopped
  • Grated Coconut – 4 tbsp
  • Salt
  • Water

 

Method:-

  • Mix 1 cup of Thalipeeth Mix and all the ingredients together to form a smooth soggy dough.
  • Take a Tava grease it oil and spread out the dough. Spread oil over the edges.
  • Cover and cook on both sides.
  • To repeat you need to wash the tava under running cold water and continue
  • Enjoy tasty Thalipeeth  Lemon/ Mango Pickle.

Recipe for Making Akki Tari Idli at Home

Ingredients:

  • My Amma’s Homemade Akki tari Idli Mix – 1cup
  • Beans – 10 finely chopped (boiled)
  • Carrot –  1 Finely Chopped (boiled)
  • Salt
  • Buttermilk of ½ cup curd
  • Water if required

Or

  • Only My Amma’s Homemade Akki tari Idli Mix – 1cup
  • Butter Milk (from 1/2 cup thick curd) and salt.

Method:-

  • Mix 1 cup of  Akki tari idli Mix and all the ingredients together to form a smooth batter.
  • Pour it into idli moulds and cook for 12-14mins
  • Enjoy Smooth Akki tari idli’s coconut chutney/Tomato Thokku.

How to Make Adai at Home?

Ingredients:

  • My Amma’s Homemade Adai Mix – 1cup
  • Onion -1 finely chopped
  • Coriander Leaves – Finely chopped
  • Curry Leaves – Few
  • Grated Fresh Coconut – 3-4 tbsp
  • Salt
  • Water

 

Method:-

  • Mix 1 cup of Adai Mix and all the ingredients together to form a smooth batter.
  • Heat the Tava and spread out the batter gently.
  • Cover and cook on both sides.
  • Adai is slightly thicker compared to the regular dosas.
  • Enjoy it coconut chutney.

How to Prepare Gojju at Home

Ingredients:

  • Pineapple / Dry Grapes / Bhindi / Bitter gourd / capsicum / Spring onions / ( any veg/ fruit of your choice) – 1 cup dized
  • My Amma’s Homemade Gojju Powder.
  • Dry Coconut (grated) –  3-4 tbsp.
  • Tamarind Pulp Extracted from one lemon sized tamarind
  • Jaggery – 1tsp
  • Curry leaves
  • Oil and salt.

Method:

  • Choose the vegetable of your choice (bitter gourd, pineapple, capsicum, spring onion etc.).
  • Extract the pulp of one lemon sized tamarind and keep aside.
  • Take a lemon sized jaggery, crush it keep aside.
  • Heat some oil in a nonstick pan add hing, then saute the vegetable till it is half cooked.
  • Add the tamarind pulp jaggery.
  • Then add salt turmeric, sauté  for some time.
  • Grind 2 tbsp of My Amma’s Homemade Gojju Powder some dry coconut to a fine paste.
  • Add it to the pan bring to a boil.

How to Make Tasty Puliogare at Home?

Ingredients:

  • Cooked Rice – 1 cup
  • My Amma’s Homemade Puliogare Mix – 2-3 tsp.
  • Peanuts 3-4 tsp
  • Dry Coconut – grated 3-4 tbsp
  • Curry leaves – few sprigs
  • Salt Oil for seasoning

 

Method:

  • Cook one cup of rice turmeric keep aside.
  • Add My Amma’s Puliogare powder and salt to it. Check for taste.
  • Heat oil add peanuts and curry leaves. Once peanuts are cooked, transfer to the rice and mix.
  • Rest it for 10-15 mins.
  • Heat it in a pan or microwave for 5 -10 mins.

Simple Recipe for Preparing Bisisbelebhath at Home

Ingredients:

  • Mixed vegetables of your choice.
  • Grated Fresh Coconut 3-4 tbsp
  • Tamarind Pulp Extract from a lemon sized tamarind
  • My Amma’s Homemade Bisibelebhath  Powder – 2tsp
  • Cooked Rice – 1 cup
  • Coriander Leaves, Curry Leaves
  • Tour dal – ½ cup ( cooked)
  • Salt Oil

 

Method:

  • Cook one cup of rice keep aside.
  • Cook dal vegetables together.
  • Add tamarind pulp (extracted from a lemon sized tamarind ) to the dal veggies.
  • Add salt boil it.
  • Take 3 tbsp of My Amma’s Homemade Bisibelebhath Powder grind it 6tbsp of grated coconut to a smooth paste add it to the boiling dal.
  • Add a little jaggery and bring to a boil.
  • Season it mustard curry leaves.
  • Finally add the cooked rice 2tbsp of Ghee to it.
  • Keep in on sim for 5mins.
  • Enjoy steaming bisibele bhath Raita and Bhoondi.
